Hey, I'm Shona! founder of She's Got Assets™ Bold Moves In REI

Shona grew up in a small town in Northern California and was raised by capitalist hippies. From a young age, she helped with the family business of running a small vacation rental business before Airbnb was a thing. She basically has the hospitality gene. Continuing with tradition, she involves her kids in this family business. 

Shona has been an entrepreneur for over 19 years. Shona has been in the buy-and-hold rental business for over 16 years and operates a mix of long-term and mid-term rentals in Portland, OR.

Previous to launching She’s Got Assets™, Shona founded and led a boutique branding studio and a creative communications agency, which was acquired in 2019. She lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband and two school-age kids, "Cookie," a sweet English cream golden retriever, and a questionable tuxedo cat.

I have four mid-term rentals and have figured out how to test the market, quickly set them up, market, and attract quality guests. I went from a tired Airbnb host to a happy MTR host and learned all the systems to easily manage them and attract direct bookings to keep more profit. Just a word of encouragement. I was very discouraged. As a seasoned short term rental operator, I was forced to transition my new second STR to a MTR due to HOA rules.
